The Top Places To Take Photos In Brighton

Today i thought i would post a different type of post on this blog as i think it will help anyone reading this who is struggling for photo ideas in and around my hometown of Brighton. These locations/attractions are things that i think are great places to take photos and i hope you take this on board and maybe even take some photos there.

Brighton Beach & The i360
When people think of Brighton, one of the first things they think of is our pebbly beaches and theres no need to wonder why! Our beaches can make beautiful photography no matter the weather and can look completely different on one day compared to the next. I have taken masses of photos on the beach and i expect i'll take a lot more in the future, even if it is quite generic for someone who lives literally five minutes away from there. If there is ever a perfect time for you to come and take photos of the beach, it would have to be when the sun is shining! In my opinion, if you are going to be going to the beach to purely take photos, I would try and go on a sunny day in the winter months of years as you can make it seem like a scorching day and you won't have a massive population of people in your photos.

Another thing that i think is fun and unique to take photos of is the British Airway's i360 which is located on the beach. Even though you would have to pay to go onto the attraction, i find that the best photos actually come from underneath as in the evening, the attraction lights up and adds more detail to the photo. Also, if you are thinking of taking photos of this, i would recommend you go either before or while the sun is setting as you get both the sky and the light.

The Kensington Street Graffiti
If you know much about Brighton, you'll know that there is a lot of graffiti scattered around the city and the best has to be on Kensington Street. The street is simply just a run-down, unpopulated street situated in the lanes that has been brought to life with graffiti. You'll be amazed by some of the huge murals covering the street as you walk along it! All of the graffiti is also extremely detailed, even being able to see some of the wrinkles on the people's faces. If you come to Brighton, you should really come and see this quiet part of an extremely busy town.

The Beach Huts
The Beach Huts are extremely popular in Brighton & Hove, being scattered all along the seafront. One of the reasons why i like the beach huts is because of their variety; you can get pretty much any colour/pattern on the masses of little huts. If you do choose to see the beach huts and take photos, i would recommend you come to the beach huts located in the West Hove area as it is considered very relaxing and peaceful compared to the highly-populated Brighton with all of its tourists. The beach huts are great things to look at whilst in Brighton.

The Brighton Centre
This last one might only be a top photo destination for concert-lovers like me but if you have the money, i would recommend you go and see a concert in the Brighton Centre. Although it might not look that appealing on the outside, you can get amazing pictures of some amazing artists inside as it is not too big, meaning you don't need much zoom. To your left is a picture i took of Jason Derulo just on my pretty rubbish Sony phone. Even though i might have been right near the front, on a proper camera with a good zoom, you can get brilliant photos from nearly everywhere in the venue.

So i hoped you enjoyed this post giving you tips on where to take photos in Brighton and i hope you take them on board when you next decide to engage in some photography.
