7 Songs You Should Listen To Pt.3

Today i thought i would share with you some more songs that i have been loving recently. I am thinking of making this 'series' a fortnightly thing as i seems to get the best reception on this blog. Anyways, i hope you give all of these songs a listen as they are all worth it.

Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles (MNEK Refix)
A lot of you guys reading this would probably know this song when you hear it but i bet you wouldn't recognise what song it was if you heard MNEK's version! The 21-year-old, that you know i love if you've read this blog before, has completely changed and revived the pop hit. With essences of the song "Love Shack" after the beat drop, the song just makes you want to dance. This song really deserves some more recognition and i am genuinely surprised MNEK has not released it as a single as i think it would do really well. You should really give this a listen (it is not available on Spotify however so go on YouTube) as it is amazing!

Shawn Mendes - Kid In Love
If you've read my previous '7 Songs' post, you'll know that i am falling in love with Shawn Mendes right now and i actually managed to get tickets to see him at The O2 next year on his Illuminate World Tour! Whilst i was creating my Shawn Mendes playlist (which i do for every concert i go to), i discovered "Kid In Love" and now i am a Kid in Love with that song! In my opinion, the song is very sweet and just simply honest. The likelihood of him singing the fairly old song on his tour is quite slim but i hope he does as it is very relaxing and tranquil. His new album Illuminate (which will probably be featured on here soon) is incredible and you should check it out as well.

Morgxn - Home
"Home" was featured on my Discover Weekly (a playlist that is made by Spotify to recommend you songs based on what you usually listen too) and even though it is completely different to anything i usually listen to, i immediately fell in love with it. I don't know whether it is the empowering beat, the lyrics or the instrumentals but i love everything about this song. You should really try and check this song out as Morgxn is an up-and-coming artist and need all the support he can get!

Kehlani - Did I
I got this song and Kehlani recommended to me by several of my friends and i love all of her music now! This song in particular is really catchy and upbeat and like a lot of the other songs featured on this post, it really makes you want to dance. The lyrics are very truthful and Kehlani is definitely not afraid to speak her mind which is another reason why i love the song. The American singer also has a lot of stories to tell, being suicidal at one point and learning to recover. To be strong and confident like she is after having a troubled past is amazing and she should be honoured for that. If you have some spare time, you should really check this song out; you will not regret it!

Kanye West - Fade
Even though i hate Kanye West as a person, i can't help but love this song of his. Yeah it has a lot of auto-tune and it doesn't have the most lyrics but "Fade" just makes you want to dance and/or sing along to it. With samples of Mr. Fingers' "Mystery Of Love", the song is really catchy and the line "I Feel It Fade" will be stuck in your head all day after hearing the song. Also, even though he is not credited in the song, Ty Dolla Sign is someone who i am loving right now and his verse in the song it brilliant. Even if you're a little like me and don't particularly like Kanye West, you should really give this song a listen, you'll honestly be surprised.

Shakka Ft. Chip - You Don't Know What You Do To Me
A lot like "Home" by Morgxn, "You Don't Know What You Do To Me" by Shakka isn't the type of song i would normally listen to but i really love this song! The song really showcases Shakka's amazing vocals who you may know from the Wretch 32 song "Blackout". Another reason why i love the song is the fact that it features Chip as i used to listen to him (when he was known as Chipmunk) when i was really young. The song is also extremely catchy and the chorus will get stuck in your head for ages. This song is brilliant though and you should really try and check it out if you have any spare time.

Sam Smith - How Will I Know
Last but definitely not least we have Sam Smith! In my opinion, Sam Smith has one of the best voices of this generation. His soulful and tranquil voice is simply incredible and i cannot wait until he releases some new music! The British singer's version of Whitney Houston's infamous "How Will I Know" is quite possibly the best version i have ever heard of the song as it is just so raw and completely acoustic. If you have any time on your hands, you just have to check this song out! Also, the acoustic versions of "Latch" and "Omen" are incredible as well so try and look at them as i know you won't be disappointed.

So i hope you enjoyed this third instalment of "7 Songs You Should Listen To". All of these songs are mind-blowing in my opinion so you should really try and listen to them if you can!
